Most dance content teaches you a routine. We teach you to dance.

IDALS is an online dance school. Full-length tutorials, structured courses, and feedback on your own practice from people who teach for a living.

It exists because good dance education is hard to find online. There is no shortage of choreography to copy. There is very little that teaches you how to hear music, build movement of your own, or stand in front of a room and teach someone else.

How the teaching works

Every tempo, in order

A move is broken down slowly, then at half speed, then on the count, then on the music. You stay with it until it holds.

Music before movement

Most people learn steps and hope the timing follows. We start with counting, accents and texture, so the movement has somewhere to sit.

Your own movement

Copying choreography is where people stop. Improvisation, concept work and creative exploration are where they start to look like themselves.

Built to be finished

Courses run from the first isolation to a full routine, in the order it should be learnt. Not a folder of unrelated videos.

Someone watches you

Send a video of your practice and a senior mentor sends back a voice note. Not a comment section, not an automated score.

Teaching, not just dancing

For those who want it, we train educators — lesson structure, breakdown, communication and the confidence to lead a room.

Founder, and the person who teaches most of this

I have been teaching dance for fifteen years. In that time I have worked with over a thousand students, most of whom came in with no training at all.

I won the World Hip-Hop Dance Championship in 2015 and NBC World of Dance in 2019, both with Kings United. Those years taught me a great deal about performing. ALongside, I was also working as a Dance Educator training students from across India.

What I found is that most people do not struggle because they lack talent. They struggle because nobody broke the thing down properly, or told them what to work on next, or watched them do it and said what was wrong.

That is what IDALS is for. Not to produce more dancers who can copy a routine, but people who understand what they are doing well enough to teach someone else.

We took it down for a year.

IDALS ran for five years and more than fourteen thousand people used it. In August 2025 I took the platform offline.

It was not failing commercially. It was failing structurally. I was producing content faster than I could think about it, and running a platform that had outgrown the way it was built.

I kept teaching through the diploma programme while I worked out what it should be. In August 2026 I put it back up, rebuilt from nothing.
