Why Diet is important for Dancers?
Today, I will be covering one of the most important aspects when it comes to fitness and proper well being of a Dancer which is their Diet.
Diet is important in every field where there is a demand of extreme physical exertion from our body like sports, entertainment or any kind of physical activities. We all have seen how athletes maintain their fitness levels and follow a properly curated diet plan which helps them to develop a strong metabolism, sustainable energy levels which results in increased performance on field.
Similarly, Dancers are also considered as athletes and its very important for them as well to follow a proper diet plan to maintain a healthy lifestyle so that they can also perform well be it on stage, workshops or during any class.
But, do you ever feel that dancers are giving attention to their Diet?
Yes? No?
Well, according to my experience, most of them never follow a healthy diet plan but they ensure to hit the gyms or try out some kind of exercises to maintain their fitness. But, they still never achieve their fitness goals and that's not because they aren't following their exercises properly but due to improper diet. We need to understand that exercises just contribute 25-30% of our fitness and remaining is completely based on diet. So, we can figure out how much intake of nutritious food works on total well being of our body which is almost 80% of it.
With the above mentioned details, we can clearly summarize how much diet is important in a Dancer's life. As per our study and to educate all the dancers on the importance of diet, we have come up with a detailed video along with our Fitness Instructor Romikka Singh where she has explained in detail about each nutrients and also, helped in forming a simple diet which we all can follow as a Dancer.
Many people might think when we are planning on diet, it comes with heavy investment which deprives many people financially but please note that in this video, we have shared a very cost efficient plan where you all can curate your diet from the available food items at your home or something we use on a regular basis rather than relying on costly items.
